Zhou Li（Director）Profile
Graduated as two Master Degree student from the Central University of Nationalities, China, and the University of British Columbia, Canada, Zhou Li studied and did research on music theory and Ethnomusicology for many years. One of his articles published, On Identity of Music and the Reasons for It, was awarded in 1986. He joint business of real estate in Vancouver, Canada for four years and then started his business in China. Apart from Red Poppy Percussion started from 1999, he also built another business which is a famous fashion centre in Beijing called Ritan Fashion Center.
1954年生于北京，68年山西运城插队。78年从街道工厂考入中央民族学院艺术系，后以全国总 分第一的成绩考取民族音乐学专业研究生。86年其论文《试论音乐的同一性及其形成原因》获中国首届音乐理论研究论文奖，并获文学硕士学位。1989年赴加拿大英哥伦比亚大学留学，获得第二个硕士学位后被录取为阿尔伯特大学博士研究生，获最高奖学金。中途转入房地产业，1996年回国发展。97年成立北京朝日科贸发展公司，并创建“北京日坛商务楼服装市场”，任公司总经理。该市场以其独特的风格和高雅品味受到北京时尚一族青睐，成为北京具有很高知名度的时尚服装“淘金地”。1999年始筹办北京红樱束打击乐团。
